Gattuso, three moves to save his Milan bench

When he arrived on the bench of AC Milan first team he immediately announced: “Do not call me a ferryman, I’m here to work and stay as long as possible”.

Splendid intentions those of Gennaro Gattuso, coach of Milan who after replacing Vincenzo Montella at the helm of the Rossoneri will also have to look for his reconfirmation with positive results. The coach from Calabria, as reported today Tuttosport, will succeed in this goal only with an appropriate ending of the season, that still sees Milan fighting on three fronts.

There are three moves that the clubs expects from Gattuso before deciding to confirm him on the bench and definitely abandon the Antonio Conte track, a technician who unanimously would be ideal to revive a team recently disarmed. Rino will first have to do well in Europa League and aim for the Lyon final, also because this route is the only way that Milan has to immediately return in Champions League for the 2018-2019 season.

Another move is that Milan reduces the gap with the leading teams in Serie A. At the moment the distance with the first 5 in the standings is exaggerated, with the Rossoneri already 11 points behind Roma. In the second round of the league Gattuso will have to push his team at least up to sixth place, trying to show that the red and blacks are not as inferior as the current ranking demonstrates.

Finally, the last goal will be to revitalize all the new purchases in order to avoid depreciating the assets of Milan from last summer. Recently Bonucci and Calhanoglu seem to have returned to high levels. The next step will be to regenerated the various Lucas Biglia, Kalinic and Andre Silva, to whom Gattuso intends to give more space in the league and cup. Without forgetting Andrea Conti, the right-back who will finally be back at the end of February and can give a big hand in the final rush.
