The Rossoneri are simply unstoppable. AC Milan win yet again continuing the extremely positive string of excellent performances in recent weeks.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the words of the technician yesterday at the press conference, when he focused on improvements in the game and attitude:
“It’s a merit of the team that knows how to play football. I will always remain grit and heart, no problem. I see great availability and sense of belonging, I see that what is proposed in the week is always received and this is the greatest satisfaction for me. And I see people like Musacchio who warmed up for 90 minutes without problems because Bonucci was not at his top. Maybe I changed something in the mentality. For the players I will be a nightmare, a hammer, but as long as I am here I will always give my best to recover the lost points. Me as Milan coach next year? Goodbye”.
On Portuguese striker Andre Silva:
“Andre Silva is strong and I can see it. I know that I am giving him little space, it is difficult to play 20 minutes and find the back of the net. Andre Silva is quantity, quality, strength. He helped us breathe and play clean. Whoever journalists write that I have to play him to preserve the company’s assets, he is talking some big bullshit”.
Following AC Milan’s third consecutive win, coach Gattuso addressed the media to share his opinion on the match. The boss praised the Rossoneri for another positive performance but prompted everyone to keep up the hard work.
All the credit goes to the boys, they know how to play quality football and it takes very little to get them fired up. The lads give their all during the week, they do everything I say and this to me is a great satisfaction. My coaching staff and I brought our ideas but the credit goes to the boys. At this moment it’s easy for me to coach a team like this. However, we haven’t achieved anything yet, we must continue to work hard. We are a young team and the lads are understanding that sacrifices are needed to succeed. Our players are a heritage of Italian football. I’m proud of them. They have to keep up the hard work because work always pays off
Giacomo Bonaventura spoke for Premium Sport at the end of the match:
“We are happy, we are doing well, there is a good atmosphere. We have to continue like this, we had a good match tonight, we could have closed it sooner. We are doing well and the results are following. I’m happy for the goal, the whole team works better. With the coach there is great harmony, now we are a team with a nice mix. Reaching Inter? Playing like this we can reach them, even though we lost too many points at the beginning of the season. We will try till the end”.
It appears as if the Rossoneri are playing the best football of the last 4-5 years. While the first match between the two squads was perhaps the weakest game of AC Milan this season, this time at San Siro is a totally different story. AC Milan win and dominate against Sampdoria.
The red and blacks are awarded a penalty in the 7th minute but unfortunately Ricardo Rodriguez fails to transform it in goal. Goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano pulls off a wonderful save to deny him the goal.
But just a few minutes later it’s Giacomo Bonaventura to give AC Milan the lead showing good awareness inside the box as he latches on to a brilliant pass and fires a first-time shot into the back of the net. Davide Calabria assisted in the goal. If the Rossoneri would have been accurate they would have scored at least two other goals during the mach.
