Gennaro Gattuso is entrusted with the taught duty to give identity and continuity to the rossoneri. The former red and black midfielder has already identified 4 alternative formations for the new Milan.

Rino Gattuso AC Milan’s adventure has just started today and has started from the 3-4-3, which is the formation that guaranteed him success with the Primavera. To try to give new certainties to a group that has recently had few, Gattuso will start from his own. In front of Gigio Donnarumma, the defensive line will see Bonucci and Romagnoli undisputed, while Musacchio and Zapata will always fight for the right centre back spot.

In Primavera, the lineup was the same with Bellodi (pure centre back), El Hilali (deep lying playmaker) and Llamas (qualitative left central defender). In the middle of the field, the pair will be formed by Kessie and one between Montolivo and Lucas Biglia while on the right, awaiting for Conti to recover, could be given continuity to Borini with Ricardo Rodriguez who should continue to play as full back on the left.

Suso and Bonaventura (rather than Calhanoglu) will be his Tiago Dias and Riccardo Forte while up front the role of the sole central striker could see a possible overturning of hierarchies, with Cutrone who is really liked by Gattuso for his grit and goals, but attention also to Andre Silva.

As you will see in our graphical representations, the 4-3-3 which could also vary in either a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-1-2 of Ancelottian memory.
