Gattuso blames two Milan players for Torino’s goal
The Rossoneri coach was not happy with the way two his player reacted at the moment of Torino’s equalizer goal in the second half.
Gennaro Gattuso commented the episode after the match: “We did suffer indeed in the last 20 minutes, we allowed a goal because there was a mistake by Ignazio Abate who lost his man. The first mistake of the action, however, was made by Nikola Kalinic. Despite all, we could have won if Ignazio had scored at the end of the match. We also did not have any energy left in the last 20 minutes“.
The coach continued: “I would always play with two strikers but now we must pay more attention at the back. We can’t allow many goals, we are AC Milan and we must always play to win games. At the moment we are not 100% fit and we must correct some mistakes we usually do.
Sometimes we lose games that seem already won. We have full focus on the qualification for the Europa League. Champions League is not our goal, I’ve always said that. You [journalist] talk about Champions, I never did“.
