AC Milan must sign at least one new central midfielder this summer and Barcelona star is a possible target.
The AC Milan management is currently concentrated in attack trying to find a new centre forward to partner with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a new attacking midfielder after Hakan Calhanoglu’s departure. Signings are also expected in the middle of the park.
Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer will be busy with their respective national teams in Africa’s Cup of Nations. That’s why Paolo Maldini and Massara are considering whether to sign one or two central midfielders this summer.
Various names are being considered by AC Milan including that of Miralem Pjanic. The former Juventus star joined Barcelona last year in a swap deal with Arthur but he has been unable to establish himself in La Liga and could leave Spain after just one season.
Spanish newspaper Sport reports that AC Milan have made an inquiry for Pjanic. Barcelona are looking to offload a big number of players this summer and AC Milan are well aware that Pjanic is not one of Ronald Koeman’s favorite players. The Bosnia international too would prefer a return to Italy.
Juventus are seen as favorites following the reappointment of Allegri but in really they are concentrated on finding an agreement for Locatelli. Tottehnam is another possibility while the Rossoneri are lurking on the background.
