From England: AC Milan targeting Man City star
Manchester City star Raheem Sterling is on AC Milan’s wishlist as the Italian club looks set for a €1 billion takeover.
Bahrain-based asset manager Investcorp has entered into exclusive talks to purchase AC Milan club from Elliott Management. If successful, Investcorp could become the first Middle East investors to own an Italian top team. The name of Investcorp has been linked with prestigious potential purchases this summer.
Raheem Sterling is on AC Milan’s summer wishlist reports Daily Mirror. The 27-year-old Manchester City winger is on the market with his contract expiring in one year. The Rossoneri will try to tempt Sterling with the lure of Champions League football and the chance to be the center part of a new project.
Sterling has put his future on hold until the summer. The Manchester City star is currently concentrated on helping his squad push for silverware but at the end of the season he will have a reflection on his future. The player has refused to sign a new contract with City and could leave this summer.
Sterling has often been in and out of the first team this season. The England international has scored 14 goals and assisted 7 in 40 appearances wit the Citizens. The possible signing of Erling Haaland could limit Sterling’s space in Manchester City’s attack even more next season.
AC Milan are keeping an eye on the situation and continue to dream big. Sterling in Stefano Pioli’s 4-2-3-1 formation could play any role in attack: winger, second striker or center-forward. In addition, the English winger can provide some much needed quality and international experience in the team.
