Ajax star rejects transfer to Milan
AC Milan are among the interested clubs in Frenkie de Jong but the young Ajax star has rejected the possibility of a transfer to San Siro.
Frenkie de Jong is definitely one of the most interesting Dutch talents of the last years. The performances of the 21 year old starlet of Ajax have attracted the attention of many European top clubs including AC Milan.
Last month the Rossoneri inquired about the availability of de Jong and his teammate Matthijs de Ligt (read here). Even though Ajax were willing to sell the Dutch club rates the two youngsters at 100 million euros. A hefty figure for every team but considering the talent and perspective of the duo interest remains high.
In an interview for Voebal International Frenkie de Jong commented on a possible transfer to AC Milan. The central midfielder rejected such a possibility with harsh words.
“I got to see Inter play and I really liked it, you see they are a good team. Milan are experiencing a transition phase, a moment that is a bit chaotic. They do not play very well. At this moment I wouldn’t like to go there“.
Ajax are reportedly demanding 40-50 million euros for the services of Frenkie de Jong. According to rumors, Barcelona are favorites to land the 21 year old for next season.
