AC Milan face Fiorentina on Saturday but five of their players could miss the trip to Firenze due to injuries.
The Rossoneri are going through a very positive moment in the league. In 2020, Pioli’s side has lost only one match gradually climbing the Serie A ladder reaching the sixth place just 4 points behind Roma. However, injuries have plagued the Rossoneri and risk derailing AC Milan’s growth.
Kjaer – In the match against Torino, at the end of the first half, Simon Kjaer suffered an injury. He left the pitch and was substituted by youngster Matteo Gabbia who made a fantastic performance on his debut match with AC Milan. An MRI scan has confirmed a low grade biceps injury of the left thigh. Additional medical tests are expected but there’s a high probability Kjaer will miss the upcoming match with Fiorentina.
Calhanoglu, Musacchio and Biglia – Hakan Calhanoglu was expected to start from the first minute in Milan-Torino but he had to quit offering Paqueta a golden opportunity that the Brazilian failed to exploit. Musacchio is still experiencing discomfort in his calf. The two together with Lucas Bilgia have carried out individual work at Milanello.
Saelemaekers – As if the injury emergency wasn’t enough, Alexis Saelemaekers is the latest to join the club. The new arrival from Anderlecht has reported a sprain trauma of his left ankle, with further medical tests to be carried out tomorrow.
Considering the emergency in defence, Matteo Gabbia is set to make his debut in Fiorentina vs Milan reports MilanNews.it.
