Fiorentina are searching for a new goalkeeper and consider AC Milan’s player as the ideal successor to Sportiello.
Fiorentina are looking around for a new goalkeeper after the departure of Marco Sportiello. The 26 year old Italian joined the Viola on a 18 month loan in 2017 but now he has returned to Atalanta. Given the difficulties to sign Alex Meret, Fiorentina are thinking of AC Milan’s Gabriel.
The 25 year old keeper returned to AC Milan after a loan adventure at Empoli. It was an excellent experience for the former star of Brazil U-20 who was chosen as the best goalkeeper of Serie B last season.
La Nazione reports that Fiorentina are preparing to present AC Milan an offer of three million euros for the Brazilian. The Rossoneri are currently facing a goalkeeper’s overcrowding issue with the likes of Pepe Reina, Storari, Gigio and Antonio Donnarumma, and Gabriel in the squad. So finding an agreement for the transfer of Gabriel will not be difficult.
