Fabio Capello names best starting eleven EVER

Legendary coach Fabio Capello has named the best starting eleven he has ever coached with six AC Milan players making the cut.

MILAN NEWS – Fabio Capello in an interview with Il Corriere dello Sport revealed his best starting eleven ever made up of players he coached during his long career. 11 players plus a bonus.

The Italian was a former player of AC Milan and latter coached the Rossoneri for 6 seasons between 1991 and 1998. During his time at San Siro, Fabio Capello won four Serie A titles, three Italian Super Cups, one Champions League and one European Super Cup. Don Fabio succeeded Sacchi in coaching the best AC Milan squad in history.

So it’s no surprise that 6 AC Milan players are part of his best eleven. Gianluigi Buffon in goal, who he coached at Juventus. Right-back Marcos Cafu, a player he coached at Roma but latter joined AC Milan. The centre backs are obviously Rossoneri, the best that the history of football has provided: Franco Baresi and Paolo Maldini, two legendary Milan captains.

The left-back is Roberto Carlos, who together with Redondo (also former AC Milan) and Raul, form the Real Madrid trio. On the left, the genius Dejan Savicevic, with Ruud Gullit and Marco Van Basten in attack. Francesco Totti as attacking midfielder, and Ronaldo “the phenomenon” as a bonus player.
