AC Milan are in advanced talks to sign English midfielder Ruben Loftus Cheek from Chelsea. The central midfielder is rated €25 million.

AC Milan are expected to make important investments this summer to improve their squad especially in midfield and attack. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are moving in advance to anticipate the competition of other clubs. Besides Daichi Kamada, AC Milan are in talks to sign Ruben Loftus Cheek from Chelsea.

The Rossoneri are determined to finally solve the issue of Franck Kessie’s successor. As acmilaninfo.com already reported in February, Ruben Loftus Cheek tops the list of targets. Milan consider him the perfect player for the box-to-box role and the English midfielder could soon become Milan’s first summer purchase.

The Rossoneri have held multiple round of talks with the player’s representatives Stellar Agency. According to recent reports, Ruben Loftus Cheek has said yes to a summer transfer to AC Milan. The 27-year-old English midfielder wants to leave Chelsea after playing a reduced role this season.

Chelsea are forced to sell a big number of players this summer for financial fair play reasons but also to reduce their ranks. Chelsea have set a price tag of €25 million in order to part ways with Ruben Loftus Cheek. The parties have an agreement on personal terms while talks with the Premier League club continue. The Rossoneri are optimistic considering the have often done business with Chelsea in the past with Giroud, Bakayoko and Tomori being perfect examples.

Loftus-Cheek has historically featured as one of the advanced players in a midfield three but he is also capable of playing deeper. The 27-year-old is effective at finding pockets of space and therefore of posing an attacking threat. Long recognized as an intelligent footballer with the awareness needed to make himself available for teammates, he is constantly on the move in search of space. When the ball comes to him, he then looks to play quick combinations with his teammates.
