From England: AC Milan after Willian
AC Milan are preparing for the January transfer window and according to reports from England the rossoneri are after Chelsea’s Willian.
It is difficult today to predict what will happen in two months when the transfer market will reopen for the January winter session. In Casa Milan, no significant hits are expected considering the limited budget and the important spending made last summer but still someone will come.
In short, AC Milan’s mercato in January will only be about occasions, that is, of footballers who could become useful to Vincenzo Montella’s cause if there is an inexpensive opportunity to sign them, while waiting for the rossoneri balance to be restored by substantial capital increases or revenues from other economic situations.
However, in the last few hours, English newspapers have come up with the name of a great talent that currently plays in the Premier League but whose future may be at AC Milan. As reported by Calciomercato.com, the rossoneri will look at the opportunity to sign the Brazilian Willian Borges da Silva in January, more simply known as Willian. The 29 years old attacking midfielder plays for Chelsea of Antonio Conte, but this season he has struggled to find space. The Italian coach often prefers players such as Pedro or Fabregas, and therefore the Brazilian’s space appears to be reduced.
In addition, Conte for January has asked the club to make an effort to sign another Brazilian, Lucas Moura of PSG, who would complete Chelsea’s attacking trio and push Willian away. British tabloids are sure: in January, the former star of Shakhtar will leave London and two are the most likely destinations for him. The first is China, where he could follow his former teammate Oscar while the other is Milan, to whom a skilled trequartista that can also play on the wing would be very useful. But the cost of the operation, especially Willian’s wage, makes it a difficult opportunity. There might be an attempt with the loan formula, however complicated.
