Elliott have reportedly set the budget for a new striker with Beto the most suitable name for AC Milan’s economic capacities.
The long absence of Simon Kjaer has forced AC Milan to change their mercato plans and sign a new defender. Another centre back will arrive to support Alessio Romagnoli, Fikayo Tomori and Matteo Gabbia. Maldini and Massara are already working to complete the Rossoneri’s defence with Sven Botman being the number one target.
Besides a new defender, AC Milan could sign a new striker as well. The plan is to make a hefty invest next summer but the many injuries of Pellegri, Ibrahimovic and Giroud have often left coach Stefano Pioli without alternatives in attack. The Rossoneri are reportedly considering cutting short the loan of Pellegri who could return to Monaco and sign a new striker.
Many players have been linked with the Rossoneri. From Dusan Vlahovic and Andrea Belotti to Patrik Schick but neither is an option for January. Udinese striker Beto Betuncal is the most feasible option for the winter shopping campaign.
According to TodoFichajes, Beto could be the right name for AC Milan. The Portuguese striker is doing really well in his first season in Serie A. The 23-year-old has scored 7 league goals with Udinese including their only goal against the Rossoneri. Beto also scored 2 goals in the very first matches of the Portuguese league with Portimonense before his move to Italy.
Udinese signed Beto on loan with the obligation to make the transfer permanent for a reported fee of 10 million euros, bonuses included. TodoFichajes reports that Elliott have given a budget of 15 million euros for a new striker. It’s up to the management to evaluate whether to spend that figure now or postpone the arrival of a new centre forward next summer when investing opportunities will be much bigger.
