Elliot are ready to spend Santos’ asking price for Kaio Jorge but his agent’s commission is a big obstacle in talks.
AC Milan are amongst the many clubs interested in Kaio Jorge. The 19-year-old Santos starlet is considered one of the brightest talents in Brazil and, with his contract expiring in December 2021, has attracted the attention of many important teams.
Agent Giuliano Bertolucci recently met with Paolo Maldini to discuss a possible move. Kaio Jorge has a €50 million release clause but Santos are forced to part ways for ‘just’ 10 million or else risks losing him on a free transfer.
Tuttosport reports that AC Milan are in advantage over Juventus because Jorge does not have a EU passport and the Bianconeri have only one slot available for non-EU players. Juventus don’t want to use that to sign a forth striker.
Despite his young age, Jorge made a name for himself in the Libertadores Cup reaching the final with Santos. He can play as centre forward or second striker. A young player with great margins for improvement and available on a low transfer fee is very tempting for Elliott Management.
The American owners of AC Milan have given the green light to Kaio Jorge’s transfer reports Tuttosport but on one condition. AC Milan are willing to pay Santos the 10 million asking fee. Agreeing personal terms with the Brazilian striker is also not a problem. However, his agent Bertolucci is asking 10 million in commission fees. The Rossoneri have no intention to pay such a high commission. Either Bertolucci lowers drastically the fee or he must find a new club for Jorge.
