Agents are aware that AC Milan are looking on the market for a new centre forward and have proposed the Liverpool forward.
During the January transfer window AC Milan terminated the loan of Pietro Pellegri and brought Marko Lazetic instead. Nevertheless, at least one more signing in attack is expected in the summer. That’s because much will depend on what will happen with Zlatan Ibrahimovic whose contract expires at the end of the season.
Players like Andrea Belotti, Hugo Ekitike and Gianluca Scamacca have been linked but now a new name has entered on AC Milan’s orbit. Journalist Antonio Vitiello reports that Liverpool striker Divock Origi has been offered to AC Milan by his agents.
The 26-year-old Belgian forward has been part of the Reds for the last seven seasons. While almost never a regular starter, Origi has been a valuable member of the Liverpool squad. This year Origi has made 14 appearances, scoring five goals and providing three assists. He found the back of the net against the Rossoneri in Champions League.
The contract of Origi with Liverpool expires at the end of the season and he has rejected a renewal offer from Jurgen Klopp’s side. The Belgium international wants to change club this summer and play regularly elsewhere.
An interested proposal but AC Milan are looking for something different. The management wants to bring at San Siro a new striker that is currently playing regular football and at the same time guarantees double figures of goals. Despite being a free agent, Origi doesn’t seem to fit the requirements.
