Di Marzio: AC Milan to complete Divock Origi signing in 7 days
AC Milan are set to complete the signing of Liverpool striker Divock Origi within a week reports Gianluca Di Marzio.
AC Milan will not wait for the summer transfer window to open in order to start making purchases. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are working to complete a couple of signings in advance. The good news for the Rossoneri is that free agents are allowed to negotiate with other clubs at any given time.
Such a player is Liverpool centre forward Divock Origi. The 26-year-old is one of A Milan’s primary target to strengthen the attack for next season. Sky sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the signing of Divock Origi is just a matter of time for the Rossoneri.
“I believe that this week there will be a final meeting for Origi. In or out. If AC Milan decide to relay on Origi for next season, an agreement will be reached in the next 7 days. It will be 7 important days on the Origi-Milan front“, said Di Marzio.
The signing of Divock Origi on a free transfer from Liverpool could be completed within a week according to the Sky sport journalist. The Belgium international refused to extend his contract with Liverpool in order to play more elsewhere. Origi leaves the Reds after seven seasons. He won every possible trophy at Liverpool but not as a protagonist.
Origi is expected to sign a long-term agreement with AC Milan at 3.5 million euros per season. He becomes the second striker to arrive from the Premier League after Olivier Giroud. Origi, Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are set to form AC Milan’s up front trio for next season.
