Di Marzio offers an update on Tonali to AC Milan links
AC Milan are challenging Inter for the signature of Sandro Tonali. Di Marzio offers an update on the Italian midfielder.
The surprising renewal of Stefano Pioli’s contract until 2022 with the Rossoneri will have an important impact on the transfer plans of the club. The first change of course concerns Sanro Tonali.
Ralf Rangnick preferred players of low cost so Tonali was not really a priority for him. Now things have changed and AC Milan have seriously entered the race for the 20-year-old defensive midfielder. Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio offered the latest updates on the player and the mercato derby between AC Milan and Inter for Italian prodigy.
“The player has already said yes to Inter in late April but Inter have been unable to reach an agreement with Brescia. Inter are talking with president Cellino who is a tough nut but now Milan have joined the race.
Both with Maldini and Massara have put him at the top of the list, and have asked for information to the agent of the player Beppe Bozzo and have contacted Brescia too. Now whoever first finds an agreement with Brescia secures the services of the player for next season. It’s a nice market duel“.
Inter have offered 30 million euros for Tonali to be paid in four years and initially signing the player on loan with the obligation to buy. Milan have reportedly matched their offer but instead are willing to make the payment in three years.
