Di Marzio confirms the signing of a new defender

Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reveals AC Milan’s transfer strategy confirming the signing of a new centre back to substitute SImon Kjaer.

Gianluca Di Marzio was one of the famous names on the presentation of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s new biography book “Adrenalina”. In an interview with Radio Rossonera the Italian journalist talks about the Swedish striker and the mercato plans of AC Milan.

“I saw Zlatan very well, charged. He is very nice and being with him for a while and seeing him always available was nice. I saw a different person, even changed. Perhaps he is even more likeable than in the past, less aggressive and more determined. I noticed a strong sympathy, even how he responded to the fans. He is now a character”.

Di Marzio gives an update on AC Milan’s transfer strategy confirming that despite Paolo Maldini’s initial denial, AC Milan will purchase a new centre back in January. However, it’s unlikely that the Rossoneri will be able to spend a lot for a new defender.

“AC Milan will try to get a prepared defender, someone like Bremer, even if there have not been any contacts yet. There are two options: Milan can make a considerable investment anticipating the big purchase that was supposed to be made in June regardless of whether Romagnoli is staying or not. Otherwise a player will arrive on loan from an important club.

The names on the table are young players who may have a bright future. In the next few days it will be decided on which profile to go, without too much frenzy. But Milan will certainly sign a player in that role“.
