AC Milan are looking to sign a new striker to serve as Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s back-up for the remaining of the season.
AC Milan are being very active on the market but so far the Rossoneri have managed co complete only one transfer. Brazilian defender Leo Duarte has left to join Istanbul Basaksehir on loan with an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season. Andrea Conti may soon follow him.
Regarding arrivals the situation has been quiet. The management has prioritized the signing of a cente back with Mohamed Simakan still the top target. A new central midfielder and striker is expected to arrive too.
According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Rossoneri management had a meeting today at Casa Milan with Giavanni Branchini, the agent of Cagliari striker Leonardo Pavoletti.
The 32-year-old Italian centre forward is one of the targets AC Milan are considering for the attack. Leonardo Pavoletti has played his entire career in Italy and has vast experience in Serie A. He can contribute immediately because he knows the Italian league well and can serve as a temporary solution.
The signing of such a name is also favored by Elliot Management. Besides Ibrahimovic, the Rossoneri can also adapt Rafael Leao and Rebic in that position without forgetting Lorenzo Colombo and Daniel Maldini. A move for Pavoletti would allow the club to postpone the “real” spending for a new striker in the summer.
