AC Milan identify Correa alternative
AC Milan have shifted their attention to Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Dani Olmo. The Spain U-21 star is the alternative to Angel Correa.
MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – Dani Olmo has never left the AC Milan radar. The Spanish attacking midfielder has been linked with a move to Milan since Massimiliano Mirabelli’s time at the club. Now the new Rossoneri management is considering again his signing.
On paper Olmo would take Angel Correa’s reserved place at Milan since the two occupy the same position on the pitch. Negotiating with Atletico Madrid has proven difficult. The excessive claims of the Spanish club, 55 million euros, could force the Rossoneri to consider other more affordable alternatives.
An intermediary of Dinamo Zagreb has arrived in Milano today and will open talks with the management of Milan. Dinamo Zagreb value Dani Olmo at 35 million euros, a very high figure for a talented player but one that hasn’t tested himself at the highest levels.
Recently, Manchester United and Everton tried to sign Olmo but without success. Bayern Munich were also interested and reportedly had prepared a 25 million offer for the Spain U-21 star but with the arrival of Ivan Perisic from Inter the Germans abandoned this track.
Dani Olmo excelled at the European U-21 Championship guiding Spain to winning the competition. In his last season in Croatia, the former Barcelona youngster scored 12 goals and provided 9 assists in 44 appearances.
