Cutrone, the best striker in Milan’s youth sector history
The promising Patrick Cutrone was the main protagonist of yesterday’s fantastic win against Bayern Munich. The youngster also holds a very significant record.
Neither Leonardo Bonucci nor Lucas Biglia. Not even Robert Lewandowski. The real protagonist of yesterday’s super challenge between AC Milan and Bayern Munich was the young striker Patrick Cutrone. Hunger, goals and professionalism, the rossoneri’s talented starlet knocked down the German champions, showcasing all his qualities as a bomber. As reported today by Tuttosport, Cutrone is the most prolific player in Milan’s youth sector history with 110 goals scored.
The 19 year old Cutrone scored two great goals yesterday in a match he will remember for a long time. It was Franck Kessie to score opening goal in the 14th minute. Only 9 minutes later, Cutrone with a header, from an assist by Ricardo Rodriguez put AC Milan 2 goals in front. Before the end of the first half it was gain Cutrone to conclude a brilliant action from the rossoneri players and make the score 0-3. Hakan Calhanoglu scored the last goal of the match to secure a beautiful win for the red and blacks.
Cutrone joined AC Milan’s first team on January 2017 and on 21 May, he made his senior debut in a 3-0 home win against Bologna substituting Spanish winger, Gerard Deulofeu in the 85th minute. He has been part of the Italian national team youth levels, from U15 to U19 making a total 57 appearances and scoring 27 goals. Much speculation has surrounded his future but the player insist to stay at Milan and try his luck.
After the match, in a short interview, the 19 year old said: “I hope to remain“. A confirmation that the club intended to loan him in another team. Now the plans have changed and the rossoneri are expected to keep him and give the ex Primavera centre forward a chance with the first team. Manager Montella will probably chose him to lead the attack against Craiova.
