AC Milan face Crotone in the first game of the new Serie A season. Manager Vincenzo Montella aims to deploy a totally new defense.
Tomorrow AC Milan will make Serie A debut away from San Siro against Crotone. It will not be an easy game, as analyzed by manager Montella at today’s press conference but the rossoneri want to start the new domestic season on the right foot. After the three very good performances in Europa League the rossoneri hope to continue the momentum.
There are still doubts regarding the rossoneri’s formation. Vincenzo Montella himself reported: “I still have doubts regarding the formation. The ideas are fairly outlined but not fully clear. Sometimes the formation i try in the training sessions the day before may not be the one to deploy tomorrow.” According to the latest rumors, tomorrow night at Ezio Scida, Milan will delpoy the following players.
On the goal as always Gigio Donnarumma, who issued an important statement this morning on his future. A brand new defense, for the first time all four new purchases will simultaneously play. From right to left: Andrea Conti, Leonardo Bonucci, Mateo Musacchio and Ricardo Rodriguez.
In the midfield, the playmaker will be Manuel Locatelli, while on the right flank will be Franck Kessie and Hakan Calhanoglu on the opposite side. The attacking trio is with a single doubt: Andre Silva or Patrick Cutrone. The Portuguese seems to be favorite, despite the fact that this morning the baby rossonero bomber was used in the first team. La Gazzetta dello Sport, however, insists that Cutrone will be the one to start from the first minute. On the wings, confirmed Suso and Fabio Borini.
