Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been offered to AC Milan reports Corriere dello Sport.
AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese superstar is not happy with his second spell at Manchester United and is looking for a way out. Despite his contract until 2023 and with an option for further season, Ronaldo wants to cut short his adventure at Old Trafford.
In a recent meeting with the club management the player has asked to leave on a free transfer this summer. Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag is doing all he can to convince Cristiano to change his mind but so far his attempts have been fruitless. United’s back-to-back league defeats have made worse the morale of the Portugal captain.
CR7 is reportedly considering a return to Serie A. Jorge Mendes has contacted AC Milan and has offered the chance to sign Cristiano Ronaldo according to Corriere dello Sport. Talks with the Portuguese agent have been held at the end of June but the Rossoneri have declined the offer.
Ronaldo wants to earn nearly the same salary he is currently getting at United. AC Milan have followed a strict path of sustainability in recent years and can’t afford to pay a player around €25 million per season. Despite the tempting offer of Jorge Mendes, AC Milan’s response was a strict no.
Although the Rossoneri could use a new right winger, Cristiano is prohibited dream. Paolo Maldini will spend the remaining time to sign a central midfielder and a new centre back before the summer transfer window is over. The Italian technical director has a long list of targets on his notebook but no front runners.
