AC Milan are seriously interested in Lucas Vazquez. The Real Madrid winger becomes a free agent at the end of the season.
AC Milan are very attentive on players that are about to become free agents. Such a player is Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez. The Spaniard has played a key role for Los Blancos this season making 34 appearances, 31 of which as a starter. The 29-year-old is highly respected by coach Zinedine Zidane who would love to have Vazquez under his orders again next season.
According to reports from AS, Lucas Vazquez will be the first summer signing of AC Milan if he doesn’t renew with Real Madrid. If renewal talks with the Spanish giants ultimately fail then Lucas would move to Italy. He has already refused offers from Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Corriere dello Sport reports the contract proposal of the Rossoneri. AC Milan have offered Lucas Vazquez a three-year contract of €4 million per season. Currently, the right winger earns 3.5 million per year at Real Madrid and has asked for a raise to stay.
His request of 5 million was refused by president Florentino Perez. At the same Perez has made it clear he will not be offering improved deal to any player including captain Sergio Ramos. AC Milan are lurking and at the end of the season hope to close Vazquez’s signing.
The Spanish winger would be very useful to Stefano Pioli, as he has characteristics that allow him to be used in multiple roles. The former Espanyol knows how to cover the entire right wing. Zidane has used him several times as a full-back, as well as in his natural position on the wing. Vazquez’s tactical flexibility would certainly suit Milan. The Rossoneri view him as an experienced player and an improvement over Castillejo.
