CorSport: Morata to AC Milan, but on two conditions

Massimiliano Mirabelli is doing everything he can to bring Alvaro Morata to AC Milan. The player has opened to a transfer but only on two conditions.

Today, Il Corriere dello Sport explains that recently Mirabelli met with Alvaro Morata in Torino. He had the opportunity to exchange a few words with the Spaniard, reiterating his willingness to bring him to Milan. The player expressed his availability with some conditions: salary that should not be less than the 8 million euros net per seasons he earns today at Chelsea and participation in Europa League for next season. The parties have scheduled a new meeting after UEFA’s ruling.

Purchasing a player like Morata should costs no less than 60 million euros so AC Milan will need to sell some players in order to fund this transfer. With the money from the possible departure of both Andre Silva and Nikola Kalinic the club would be in no need of selling other important first team players. However, it will be necessary to see if these transfers will be concluded in the short term. Likely that the club will await the end of the World Cup, hoping that both will do well enough to attack interest after a disappointing season in Serie A.

On the 25 year old striker there is great interest also from his former club Juventus, which could sell Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea and sign the Spaniard in exchange. If Juve fail to sell a striker it would be impossible for them to purchase Morata, in that case the Rossoneri would remain his only option.
