The search for a new centre forward is going to be long and tedious with AC Milan now considering a former teammate of Leonardo Bonucci.
“Higuain alla Bonucci” a sensational headline opening from Il Corriere dello Sport but in the end adds: “The obstacle can be Sarri“. For weeks there have been rumors that AC Milan are considering the Argentine 30 year old for the attack in case negotiations with Chelsea for Alvaro Morata fail.
The Rossoneri are considering a wide number of options for the attack including the names of Belotti, Immobile, Timo Werner and now Gonzalo Higuain. Juventus are open to selling the centre forward this summer for 60 million euros.
It is a wild option and Higuain is not top priority at Casa Milan for the moment but UEFA’s ruling can bend the strategies of the Red and Blacks. The expected entry of a new investor in the club could accelerate such an operation. With or without Europa League a top striker is needed but El Pipita, however, prioritizes a move to Chelsea.
