After the 2-0 league win, AC Milan face once again Torino at the San Siro but this time in Coppa Italia.
After the 2-0 win against Toro on Saturday evening, Milan are back on the pitch immediately tonight at 20:45. Once again the Rossoneri will face Marco Giampaolo’s squad at the San Siro. Brahim Diaz and Tonali left the match earlier in the first Milan vs Torino but both seem to have recovered in record time.
Rafael Leao will once again be the man chosen to lead the Rossoneri attack. The Portuguese is in an excellent form, he scored on Saturday evening, and because of his suspension for the next Serie A match against Cagliari, he will play from the first minute. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to make an appearance in the second-half.
Jens Peter Hauge, Brahim Diaz and Samuel Castillejo will compose the trio behind Leao. Alexis Saelemaekers has not yet fully recovered and Hakan Calhanoglu will be kept resting, at least initially.
The speedy recovery of Sandro Tonali solves a big problem for Pioli who doesn’t have many options in midfield. The Rossoneri number 8 will certainly start from the beginning but there is a small doubt about his partner. The most probable choice is that Davide Calabria once again plays as central midfielder giving Franck Kessie a chance to rest.
Pioli will make a total overhaul in defence. Donnarumma, Theo Hernandez and Siman Kjaer will be rested. Ciprian Tatarusanu will be on goal with Diogo Dalot on the left and Pierre Kalulu on the right. It is the first time the young Frenchman plays in his natural position. At the center captain Romagnoli will be paired with Matteo Musacchio. The Argentine defender has not played for almost a year and in Milan vs Torino will make his seasonal debut.
AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Dalot; Calabria, Tonali; Castillejo, Brahim Diaz, Hauge; Leao.
TORINO (3-5-2): Milinkovic-Savic; Izzo, Bremer, Buongiorno; Vojdova, Meite, Segre, Rincon, Murru; Verdi, Zaza.
