Italian football resumes with Juventus vs Milan set to take place on 12 June. Three key Rossoneri players are suspended and two injured.
After months of stop the Italian football will finally resume. Tomorrow at 21:00 CET, AC Milan and Juventus clash at the Allianz Stadium for the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final. Juventus vs Milan will mark the return on the pitch for both clubs.
The first match ended in a 1-1 draw. Ante Rebic scored the opening goal for the Rossoneri but Cristiano Ronaldo equalized with a penalty kick in the last minutes of the game. Unfortunately several Rossoneri players will be absent from Juventus vs Milan.
Theo Hernandez, Castillejo and Ibrahimovic, three regular starters, are suspended for this match while Leo Duarte and Mateo Musacchio are injured. However, coach Stefano Pioli will not change formation despite the lack of his three key players. MilanNews.it confirms that Milan will play again with the 4-2-3-1 game system.
Pioli has abandoned the idea of the Christmas tree because he wants, and needs, a more attacking minded squad with Rafael Leao set to pay the price. Both Calabria and Conti will play in defence to compensate for the absence of Theo Hernandez (Calabria will play as left back). Romagnoli will once again partner with Simon Kjaer at the center.
Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie will be at the heart of the midfield behind a trio of attacking midfielders. Bonaventura, Hakan Calhanoglu and Lucas Paqueta will be in support of lone striker Ante Rebic. However, the Croatian will play as false nine rather than pure centre forward.
JUVENTUS (4-3-3): Buffon; Cuadrado, De Ligt, Bonucci, Alex Sandro; Khedira, Bentancur, Matuidi; Douglas Costa, Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo.
AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Conti, Kessie, Bennacer, Bonaventura, Calhanoglu, Paqueta, Rebic.
