Besides UEFA and the Settlement Agreement now AC Milan must deal even with Nikola Kalinic. An issue that could affect the Rossoneri’s transfer plans more than everything.

If UEFA’s decision to reject the Settlement Agreement to the Rossoneri wasn’t enough, now the club must deal with Kalinic’s insistence to stay at San Siro. The Croatian striker has informed both Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli that he has no intention of leaving the club this summer and that he wants to stay even for next season to prove himself.

When the Red and Blacks purchased the 30 year old centre forward from Fiorentina for 25 million euros last year few had expected that Kalinic would be such a flop. The Croatian has had little impact (to say the least) on the Rossoneri’s season having scored only 6 goals in 41 games. Too little to justify his considerable price tag.

AC Milan had decided to sell him this summer (possibly together with Andre Silva) in order fund a move for a top striker but plans could turn out differently. Calciomercato.com reports that Kalinic has rejected offers from Bayer Leverkusen, Lokomotiv Moscow and Eintracht Frankfut and has asked for a second chance to prove himself at San Siro. Perhaps considering the latest happenings Milan may decide to fulfill his wish.
