Premier League club Chelsea are interested in AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga.

AC Milan are concerned by the situation of Gianluigi Donnarumma whose contract with AC Milan expires in June 2021. Renewal talks have not started, also because there are doubts about the future project of the club. Gigio probably wants clarity and also his agent Mino Raiola, who has repeatedly criticized Elliot.

It’s obvious that Raiola wants to take Gigio away from Milan and has already made contacts with other clubs but Donnarumma’s will is expected to make the difference. The problem is that his salary is already very high (6 million euros per year) and Ivan Gazidis is unlikely to give the go-ahead for an increase.

According to the Sunday Express, Chelsea are the first club to officially contact Mino Raiola and have asked the agent to keep them up to date on the talks with AC Milan. The Blues will buy a new goalkeeper in the summer as Kepa doesn’t convince coach Frank Lampard. Lampard wants to bring Donnarumma to replace the Spanish goalkeeper.

According to the English newspaper, Milan value Gigio Donnarumma at around 55 million and for Chelsea this price is not a problem. Chelsea want to sell Kepa Arrizabalaga and invest in the Rossoneri goalkeeper.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are the two other clubs interested in Donnarumma. The player recently reiterated his attachment to AC Milan’s colors but his future remains uncertain.
