Cesc Fabregas decides his future amid AC Milan links
Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas is destined to become one of the most wanted players when the transfer market opens and AC Milan are considering a bid for January.
Cesc Fabregas and Chelsea will part ways at the end of the season according to Spanish outlet Sport. The 31 year old Spanish international has made up his mind and is already in search of a new team for next season. In fact, despite the insistence of Chelsea president Roman Abramovich, the former Barcelona has rejected every renewal proposal.
Fabregas is no longer the undisputed starter he once was under Antonio Conte or Jose Mourinho. Things are not going well between him and new coach Maurizio Sarri who sees Jorginho as the master of Chelsea’s midfield.
Since the arrival of the former Napoli at Stamford Bridge for 57 million euros this summer, Fabregas has relegated to his substitute. The central midfielder has yet to feature a single minute in Premier League this season and has made only one appearance in Europa League. Something that the Spaniard can not accept.
Fabregas is not happy and is considering the possibility of departing before his contract ends. For the right squad the 31 year old would be willing to transfer even in January. His contract expires next summer and many clubs would gladly want to have a player of Fabregas caliber in their squad, especially on a free transfer.
The Rossoneri are very interested in Cesc. Sporting director Leonardo is in search of a new central midfielder, a player that could offer quality and experience to a young squad like AC Milan. For years the Rossoneri have tried to bring Fabregas at Milan at San Siro but without success. The management is considering the possibility of a bid for January with Chelsea willing to sell him for a small transfer fee.
