AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is close to signing a new contract with the club until 2025 with better wages.
Hakan Calhanoglu is one of the players revitalized by the cure of Stefano Pioli. At the moment the Turkey international is probably stronger than the player admired during Bayer Leverkusen’s times.
The new 4-2-3-1 formation adopted by the Rossoneri coach allows him to express all his talent with the ball between his feet. Unlike in the past when he played as winger or central midfielder, now Hakan performs in his preferred role as attacking midfielder.
According to reports from Tuttosport, AC Milan are ready to offer Hakan a new contract until 2025, with a salary increase of three million euros per season plus bonuses.
Calhanoglu would therefore become an increasingly solid and decisive element in the fate of the team for the long term. The current deal of the 26-year-old midfielder expires on 30 June 2021.
This season, especially after the lockdown, Calhanoglu has established himself as a key player for the Rossoneri. In 38 appearances across all competitions, the former Bayer Leverkusen scored 11 goals and provided 9 assists. Numbers that have convinced Milan to rely on him for the future too.
