Calhanoglu reveals his favourite position on the pitch

Hakan Calhanoglu, who has covered played role in midfield as well as left winger, revealed his favourite position on the pitch.

Since his arrival at AC Milan in 2017 Hakan Calhanoglu has been a regular starter under every coach despite his oscillating form. The Turkey international has often been decisive but almost never a regular contributor to the team’s cause.

The 26-year-old midfielder was the last protagonist of the Q&A organized by AC Milan on its official Instagram profile. The Turkish midfielder answered questions from the Rossoneri fans.

Under the different coaches Calhanoglu has covered a wide rage of roles in the pitch. He has played as left winger, central midfielder, attacking midfielder and was even tried without success in front of the defence.

However, Calhanoglu reveals that his favourite position on the pitch is that of attacking midfielder. “Attacking midfielder. I grew up in that position in Germany too and I like to play there“.

AC Milan spent nearly 24 million euros to purchase Calhanoglu from Bayer Leverkusen. In his three years at the Rossoneri the Turkish midfielder has made 116 appearances scoring 17 goals and providing 28 assists.
