Bologna vs Milan, probable lineups

Bologna-Milan, probable lineups

Bologna-Milan

AC Milan hope to capitalize on their win against Parma and grab their second win in a raw tonight against Bologna away from San Siro.

The last minutes victory against Parma has revitalized the Rossoneri. Coach Stefano Pioli wants to use this energy to further advance in the rankings ladder and aim for another positive result against Bologna.

Guided by AC Milan former coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, Bologna have done really well this season and are just one point behind the Rossoneri in Serie A. For Bologna vs Milan Pioli will likely confirm the same starting eleven we saw in the match with Parma.

No changes in the defensive back four. In-form Theo Hernandez starts on the left with Andrea Conti on the opposite side. The Italian has cemented his starring role on the right at the expense of Davide Calabria. Mateo Musacchio and captain Alessio Romagnoli form the central duo with Gigio Donnarumma between the posts.

Once again Ismael Bennacer will be in the control room. Lucas Paqueta has been called up for this match but he can only hope for some minutes at the end of Bologna vs Milan because Pioli doesn’t want to risk a player returning from injury. Bonaventura will play in midfield with Kessie and Krunic fighting for the other available spot. At the moment Kessie is in advantage over Krunic.

Pioli’s biggest doubt for Bologna vs Milan is the name of the centre forward. Piatek has started from the first minute in recent games but Rafael Leao has been tried in the last training session. Suso and Hakan Calhanoglu will be in support of the sole striker who according to La Gazzetta dello Sport is expected to be Krzysztof Piatek.

BOLOGNA (4-2-3-1): Skorupski, Tomiyasu, Bani, Danilo, Denswil, Schouten, Poli, Olsen, Svanberg, Sansone, Palacio.

AC MILAN (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Conti, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer, Bonaventura; Suso, Piatek, Calhanoglu.
