Zvonimir Boban talks for the first time since his sacking from the role of AC Milan’s Chief Football Office.

Sacked for just cause, Zvonimir Boban pays the interview given last week to the La Gazzetta dello Sport, deemed avoidable and unjustified by AC Milan’s upper floors.

Boban has been out of the club since yesterday. A firm decision that certainly did not make the Croatian former midfielder happy, who had long since broken any type of relationship or professional feeling with the AC Milan CEO. Ivan Gazidis is the target of his criticisms today.

In an interview with Il Giornale, Zvonimir Boban talks for the first time for his dismissal from the role of Chief Football Officer and Gazidis’ decision.

I did not know we were in North Korea” – says Boban, clarly upset and perplexed by the decision of the club. “My interview is legally flawless and came after many questions of internal clarifications that were promptly ignored“. Boban will most likely sue the club for unjust firing.

The Croatian revels further details about the new coach of AC Milan: “In December they closed with Rangnick. I can wish him all the best possible, but they must tell me, I deserve to be informed of the initiative“.

Hence the total clash with Gazidis, which personally would have flown to Germany at the end of 2019 to negotiate with Ralf Rangnick. Boban, and Maldini, were unaware about everything, uninformed and bypassed. An intolerable decision for the former playmaker.

Considering everything, it is expected that Paolo Maldini follows in Boban’s footsteps soon. Even the former captain has not been informed about Rangnick. His meeting with Gazidis, scheduled for next week, will be decisive.
