Boban in Spain for attacking duo
Zvonimir Boban will travel to Madrid to close a deal for Angel Correa but James Rodriguez is another intriguing idea.
MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – AC Milan chief football officer Zvonimir Boban is expected in Madrid for transfer business. AC Milan’s uninspired performance against Udinese clearly indicated that the Rososneri desperately need help in attack. A top class winger in order to allow Giampaolo to switch to the old 4-3-3 formation as the coach suggested after the Udinese defeat.
Boban first stop is a meeting with Atletico Madrid. AC Milan continue to insist for Angel Correa, a soap opera that has been going on for weeks. The Argentine striker and AC Milan have agreed personal terms for a while now but reaching a deal with Atletico Madrid has proven difficult.
A very complicated transfer for a number of reasons. Atletico have reportedly lowered their asking price and according to El Chiringuito TV, Angel Correa is very close to joining AC Milan for €40 million. Reaching an agreement on the transfer fee is not Milan’s only problems as the club has yet to find a buyer for Andre Silva.
Not only Correa. Boban is traveling to Madrid also to understand if there any chances to sign James Rodriguez. The Real Madrid star started from the first minute against Valladolid this weekend but remains on the market.
Napoli are also interested in James Rodriguez. The Colombia international is Carlo Ancelotti’s summer dream. James had been proposed to AC Milan in July but the Rossoneri weren’t interested in him at that time. Now Milan must verify the availability of the 28-year-old who has suffered a muscle injury. Mariano Diaz could also be a topic of conversation between the two clubs.
