Biglia injury, Milan consider three alternatives
Lucas Biglia was injured without playing a single full mach forcing AC Milan to look for a solution. The rossoneri consider signing a new player but an internal solution can’t be excluded.
In the crazy summer of AC Milan, made of millionaire renewals, spectacular hits on the transfer market and excellent results from a sporting point, a few days ago a news arrived that made the situation a bit bitterer. The rossoneri have were hit badly from the unexpected injury of Lucas Biglia, the Argentine playmaker who recently arrived from Lazio. The midfielder will have to stay out for more than a month, due to a muscular problem that frankly often hits the thighs of the ex Lazio captain, arrived for 17 million euros in the summer transfer window.
Biglia’s injury could in fact force AC Milan to re-enter the market and to find a replacement. The rossoneri, currently have three players of their own, who can take the place of the Argentine as playmaker: former captain Riccardo Montolivo, baby talent Manuel Locatelli and even Jose Sosa. Of the three mentioned players, perhaps Montella relies more on the second, the 19 year old midfielder started from the first minute in the last official match against Craiova and his performance was praised by the manager.
Anyway the market could hide another gift in the midfielder that can cover the place in Biglia’s absence. It is impossible, according to Sportmediaset, not to think of the assumption Milan Badelj, the Croatian midfielder for long time on the rossoneri’s radar. Fiorentina can let him go for 10 million euros, AC Milan can shortly present a double proposal for viola players Badelj and Nikola Kalinic, the centre forward remains a possibility for the attack.
But in the last few hours, according to Calciomercato.com, the 21 year old Uruguayan Lucas Torreira of Sampdoria is being considered as an alternative for the midfielder. It can not be ruled out that in the eventual negotiations, Carlos Bacca’s name may be included in exchange, the rossoneri are eager to sell the Colombian and Sampdoria is a possibility for him. While AC Milan study the two outside hypotheses for the midfielder it can’t be excluded that the rossoneri try the internal solution.
