Berlusconi wants Milan player at Monza
After failing to lure in Kaka, new Monza president Silvio Berlusconi is thinking about another AC Milan player.
The bond that unites Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani with AC Milan is indissoluble and will remain so even now that the two have returned to football with the aim of promoting Monza to Serie A. In order to achieve their objective the duo could rely on some acquaintances of the present and the past, familiar faces from the parts of Milanello.
From warehousemen and coach up to even some players, Berlusconi and Galliani are thinking of many Milan related people that could accompany them in this new project.
The first is Cristian Brocchi, who has maintained a great relationship with the former Rossoneri president. Inclined to Berlusconi’s preferred formation that includes an attacking midfielder and two striker, the former midfielder has been circulating in Silvio’s thoughts to guide the Brianza. Not so much for this season but rather for the upcoming 2019/2020. For this year the idea of the new management is to not change a lot and postpone everything for next summer.
However there is another name contacted a bit by surprise and that is Riccardo Montolivo, whose contract with AC Milan expires in June next year. A first inquiry with the player has already happened, even if in the head of the midfielder there is still the desire to continue in more prestigious leagues.
The dialogue between the parties ended positively and another meeting has been scheduled in the future, perhaps an eventual promotion of Monza in Serie B could effectively stimulate Montolivo for further reflection (even if he currently earns 2,5 million at Milan). The promise of a future role in management could be decisive. Nothing definite but contacts between parties seems encouraging.
