Italian winger Domenico Berardi has asked Sassuolo to be sold. The AC Milan transfer target has a price tag of around 40 million.
The transfer strategy of AC Milan is well defined, with the usual names that have been circulating for several weeks for all the roles which the Rossoneri still need to fill. However, the twists and turns in the last days of the mercato can suddenly and change the plans of the Red and Black club.
An opportunity could be Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi. The 27-year-old Italy international has asked Sassuolo to sell him this summer. The European champion wants to continue his career at a club that can compete for silverware. AC Milan are monitoring his situation very interested.
Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari reports that Berardi is on AC Milan’s radar for the right winger role. “Berardi is pushing for another challenge and he has asked Sassuolo to leave. AC Milan have been lurking in the background since June, as have Fiorentina, who have always had him in their sights“.
Domenico Berardi has a contract with Sassuolo until 2024 but at this point, even considering the player’s will, it is no longer possible for Sassuolo to ask 40 million euros for his services.
The Neroverdi have just sold Manuel Locatelli to Juventus but the transfer is on an initial loan and won’t to able to bank. All things considered, AC Milan hope that Sassuolo could settle for a figure of around 30 million euros. The Italian right winger has always been Stefano Pioli’s top pick for that role but, until now, a transfer looked unlikely.
