AC Milan must bring a new centre back to replace Simon Kjaer. The Rossoneri are looking at Monaco’s Benoit Badiashile.
The knee injury of Simon Kjaer was a lightning bolt out of the blue for the Rossoneri. The Denmark captain will undergo surgery tomorrow. More will be known about his recovery time after the surgery but the risk is high that the season may be over for the AC Milan centre back.
The management is already on the move working to bring in a new centre back. According to reports, AC Milan have identified Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile as the perfect replacement for Simon Kjaer.
The 20-year-old French centre back already has vast experience to his name. Despite young age, Badiashile has collected over 100 official appearances with Monaco attracting the attention of many important clubs with his performances.
The powerful defender has gained praise in Ligue 1 and is being considered the new Koulibaly. The young and talented centre back is in line with Elliott’s transfer philosophy. However, Monaco are not willing to part ways with their gem in January unless an offer of 30 million euros arrives.
A considerable high asking price but one that is justified by the performances of Badiashile. AC Milan head scout, Geoffrey Moncada, is impressed by Badiashile’s talent and believes he has the necessary requirements to succeed in Serie A.
