Confirmations have arrived regarding Villarreal’s strong interest in Carlos Bacca. First indications about such a negotiation were launched this morning in Spain. The Spaniards are serious and have been enthusiastic about the Colombian, so far disputed by Sevilla and Marseille. A deal can be closed very soon at around 18 million euros according to Alfredo Pedulla.
According to Sky Sports, negotiation between the two clubs for the attacker have started. The two clubs enjoy excellent relations, as witnessed by Mateo Musacchio’s operation, closed in no time and without too much fatigue. The figures on which the negotiation is based are unclear for the moment but AC Milan’s demands are very precise. The rossoneri want at least 20 million euros and are willing to accept a loan move but with the obligation to buy not with the right to buy. According to the Spanish press, Villarreal are optimistic a deal can be found with the Italians. The player has left Milanello at 17:30 without participating in today’s training session. He will travel to Spain to discuss personal terms.
At this point, AC Milan have blocked negotiations with other teams interested in Bacca. Seville, a few days ago, had made a bid of 2 million euros for the loan of the Colombian centre forward and 13 millions for the permanent signing (read here). A proposal that did not satisfy the rossoneri ‘s demands, who preferred to wait for new options. Now, asking Carlos Bacca’s services are the other Spanish club of Villarreal, who appear to have concrete interest about the Colombian. Villarreal are in search of a new centre forward after the unexpected departure of Roberto Soldado who moved to Turkish side of Fenerbahce.
His transfer is crucial for Milan’s future transfer market moves. With the money raised from Bacca’s sale, the rossoneri can finance Nikola Kalinic’s arrival from Fiorentina for around 25 millions. And in addition there would still be enough money available for another purchase in the attack as only the Croatian striker is not satisfying the club’s needs up front.
