Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere remains AC Milan’s top target in midfield. The 26 year old’s contract with the English club expires this summer and he can join a new club for free.
To better prepare for next season the Rossoneri would need quality reinforcements, possibly players with international experience that could improve the actual group. AC Milan’s two goals for the summer are a winger and central midfielder. For the midfield department Jack Wilshere remains the top target.
Negotiations have started for a while and the double Europa League encounter with Arsenal was a good opportunity to advance talks. According to Tuttosport, the main obstacle is that the English player, who is also followed by Juventus and some Premier clubs, is asking for a seven million euros per year contract.
Too much for Milan but on the other hand signing Wilshere on a free transfer would be excellent business for the club. The England international is free to join a new club because his contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the season. The Rossoneri remain tempted and are evaluating whether to make an offer on such terms or not.
