AC Milan are negotiating the contract extension of Franck Kessie who has received two rich offers from the Premier League.
Next week could be the decisive one for Franck Kessie’s contract renewal and his future. A meeting has been scheduled between the AC Milan management and his agent George Atangana.
Journalist Nicolo Schira explains that Wednesday should be the crucial day of the summit between the parties. The contract extension of the Ivorian central midfielder is a priority for the Rossoneri and the club is confident that an agreement will be reached.
The 24-year-old has currently earns 2.2 million and has asked for a new contract of 6 million per season. AC Milan are ready to put on the table an offer of 5 million euros net per season plus bonuses. A much higher proposal than the previous one of around 4 million and very close to Kessie’s request.
Meanwhile English clubs are lurking on the background. Kessie has received two offers from the Premier League reports Schira, including a rich one from Liverpool, but he has clearly expressed his desire to continue his career at AC Milan. It is up to his agent Atangana and the Rossoneri to reach an agreement as soon as possible, avoiding another Donnarumma-like case.
Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara hope to close everything next week. In addition to salary and the related add-ons, the contract length is also expected to be a topic of discussion. According to several reports, Atangana is pushing for a three-year deal. AC Milan are betting heavily on Kessie for the future and the former Atalanta midfielder wants to stay. All that remains is to wait until next week.
