Amid AC Milan links, former Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger admits he has received tempting proposals that he’s considering.
The Rossoneri fans will have to wait until next week to discover the name of AC Milan’s new coach. The club has decided to trust the team to Marco Giampaolo even for Saturday’s match against Genoa but that will very likely be his last appearances on the Rossoneri’s bench.
Many names have been linked with Milan. From Gennaro Gattuso’s sensational return to the appointment of former city-rivals Inter coach Luciano Spalleti. Jose Mourinho and Massimiliano Allegri are not realistic target for AC Milan while Rudi Garcia is considered to be the favorite candidate for the job.
Another interesting name is that of Arsene Wenger. The French coach who led Arsenal for more than 20 years has taken some time off since his departure from the Gunners at the end of last season.
In an interview with the Mirror, Arsene confirmed that he is contemplating interesting proposals to return to management. “Since leaving Arsenal I have received some interesting proposals some of which I am currently considering. You will see me in a dugout again, when, I don’t know exactly”.
I enjoyed a bit to take a distance. I had a reluctance to go back into the heat again. I still cannot live today with the fact that I will never be on the bench again. I might go for an intermediate position. What I want for sure is to share what I know, and what I have learnt as much as I can in the game. I would like to experience one more time the intensity of the competition“.
Wenger is ready to return on the pitch whether at AC Milan or not it remains to be seen. He has worked for many years with new Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis during their time at Arsenal though their relationship is not that good according to reports.
