Former AC Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini revealed the moment when he understood he was not going to be part of the club anymore.
Present in the Sky Sport studios during the program “Calciomercato – L’Originale”, the former Rossoneri midfielder Massimo Ambrosini recalled his farewell to Milan: “When I realized that I would not be a Milan player anymore, it was traumatic. I understood this from a phone call I made, from what I was told and from how it was told to me I understood that it was over with Milan. I remember that moment very well. It was a punch in the stomach“.
Massimo Ambrosini spent nearly his entire career at AC Milan. He joined in 1995 from Cesena at the age of 18, it was a specific request of then coach Fabio Capello. During his eighteen-year stay with the club Ambrosini won numerous trophies including Serie A four times and the Champions League in 2003 and 2007.
