Former AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is ready to return for a second spell at the club but under certain conditions.
Reflections on the next AC Milan coach apparently won’t stop until the end of the season. Despite the many rumors, the only certainty is that Stefano Pioli, who has done a very good job so far, will leave the Rossoneri.
Bild insists that Ralf Rangnick will be the new coach of AC Milan while, according to L’Equipe, Rangnick has already signed a contract with Milan that includes penalties if either party decides to back out. Nevertheless, the number one choice of Maldini and Boban is Massimiliano Allegri.
Maldini and Boban have a high esteem for the former AC Milan coach and will try everything to convince Allegri to return for a second spell at the club and also Elliot to rely on the Italian coach.
According to reports from Sportmediaset, the ex Juventus coach has given his availability to return to Milan but on certain conditions. Massimiliano Allegri asks for 3-4 new signings of experience to improve the general level of the squad and the confirmation of Zlatan Ibrahimovic for next season. The last time Milan won the Scudetto, Allegri was on the bench and Ibra lead the attack 9 years ago.
Another problem to solve for the management is going to be economic. Being one of the most in-demand coaches in Europe, Allegri asks a contract of €10 million per season. More than double of what Rangnick earns.
