AC Milan star offered to Barcelona
Agent Mino Raiola has offered AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli to Barcelona. The captain’s contract expires in one year.
The unconvincing performances of Alessio Romagnoli lately have put his future at AC Milan in great doubt. If things do not improve soon, a transfer in the summer should not be ruled out.
The Rossoneri captain has a contract expiring in June 2022 and has not reached a new agreement so far. In the summer AC Milan will have to make a tough choice whether to extend his contract or sell him. Negotiating with Mino Raiola is never easy and his wage demands of 6 million euros per season is simply staggering.
Raiola is ready for any scenario. Don Balon (via MilanLive) reveals that the Italian-Dutch agent is already on the move and has offered his client to some teams. Among these interested clubs there is Barcelona who looking for reinforcements in defense for the next summer transfer window.
However, Barcelona rejected Mino Raiola’s proposal. It was Blaugrana coach Ronald Koeman to say no. The Dutch legend is not at all convinced that the AC Milan centre back is the right profile for his squad instead focusing on Eric Garcia.
Don Balon reports that Romagnoli was enthusiastic about the idea of a transfer to Barcelona, one of the most prestigious clubs in the world and always with great ambitions for the future. But he will not be joining the Spanish giants in the future.
Anyways, Romagnoli would be quite happy to stay at AC Milan. The club has finally found stability and is challenging for a spot in Champions. The Rossoneri captain earns 3.5 million euros per season but wants a high increase in order to renew.
