AC Milan have prioritized the signing of a central midfielder this January. The Rossoneri have proposed a player swap to Udinese.
By now it’s clear that large investments will not be made as in the summer, but this January, Milan will try to exploit some good opportunity to strengthen the group available to Rino Gattuso. The most obvious gap is certainly the absence of a central midfielder that can also help Franck Kessie, who so far is the most used Milan midfielder, catch a breath. And the hottest name in these hours is that of Jakub Jankto, Udinese 21 year old midfielder who already in the summer was a target of the Rossoneri.
According to what La Gazzetta dello Sport reports today, in the last hours talks the between the two clubs have reopened: that is because the Friulian club want to add in their ranks Gustavo Gomez. The Paraguayan defender is sure to depart Milan and has a price tag of 8 million euros. On the other had the cost of Jankto is 25 millions, a figure at the time too high for the Rossoneri, who still have a plan ready to try to persuade Udinese to sell their gem already in January. Exchange of loans between Gomez and Jankto with the obligation to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
Fassone and Mirabelli continue to insist that the value of Gustavo Gomez is 8 million and hope that with the addition of another 10 a deal can be closed. However Udinese do no share the same view, they would gladly take Gustavo Gomez on loan with the right to buy but don’t like the idea of selling Jankto in January. Negotiations between the parties have began with some difficulties but hopefully, with the passing of the days, the positions of Milan and Udinese can get closer and closer.
