AC Milan must make a couple of sales before proceeding with other signings. The departure of two players is blocking the Rossoneri’s mercato.

Despite missing out on Kaio Jorge, destined to join Juventus, AC Milan have been the most active Italian club on the mercato making six signings for a total of 60 million euros. Now the Rossoneri must make a couple of sales in order to finance other signings according to reports.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it) writes that offloading unwanted players is currently the priority at Casa Milan. The Rossoneri must sign a new attacking midfielder and a right winger but their mercato is temporarily blocked by Jens-Petter Hauge and Samuel Castillejo.

Both wingers are set to leave this summer but no pleasing offers have arrived. Castillejo is likely to return in La Liga with four Spanish clubs reportedly interested in his services but AC Milan have yet to receive an official bid. Samuel Castillejo is on the market for a figure of 8 million euros. The 26-year-old right winger joined AC Milan in 2018 from Villarreal for around €21 million plus Carlos Bacca.

The situation is a bit different for Jens-Petter Hauge. The Norwegian left winger joined AC Milan last summer but after a good start his play time was reduced drastically. Coach Stefano Pioli doesn’t count of the player despite Hauge demonstrating on several occasions that he deserves to be given a chance.

The 21-year-old is a wanted man in Germany with Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg very interested in his services. AC Milan are asking €15 million to sell Hauge after spending €5 million to sign him from Bodo Glimt. The Rossoneri have already rejected an offer from  Eintracht Frankfurt deemed too low.
