AC Milan working on two new signings

AC Milan are evaluating two new signings to improve the squad in January. Maldini and Massara are already at work.

AC Milan are without a doubt the most in-form Italian team of the moment. The Rossoneri lead the Serie A standings with full points and confirmed themselves even yesterday in Europa League, with a beautiful 3-1 win against Celtic Glasgow.

However, there is something to complete within Stefano Pioli’s squad. The coach said he was satisfied with the transfer business during the summer window but he clearly expected additional signings in January. According to Calciomercato, AC Milan will try to please the demands of their coach in the winter.

Paolo Maldini, together with his trusty sporting director Ricky Massara, are already working to give Pioli two signings to strengthen the squad. The Rossoneri have two absolute priorities: first of all a central defender, since the department is often in crisis between injuries and Coronavirus emergencies. Kjaer and Romagnoli remains the starting duo but a new reliable player is needed to complete the back line.

The management is paying particular attention to players they tried to sign in September reports MilanLive. Turkey international Ozan Kabak and French talent Mohamed Simakan remain high on the list but new prospects are not excluded.

The other target is in attack. Milan need a vice-Ibrahimovic, a centre forward of depth and physicality who can replace the 39-year-old Swedish giant. Rebic and Leao are valid alternatives, but Milan are forced to change the way they play with them on the pitch. Therefore, a natural centre forward is needed to let Zlatan catch his breath in what is expected to be a long season.
